Fingal Scatter-O
After the long wet summer at last something to celebrate - orienteering is back. The Fingal Scatter Series in north Co Dublin is not only a great introduction to the sport but ideal for blowing off the cobwebs.

World University Orienteering
In the middle distance race at the World University Championships in Tartu, Gerard Butler finished 88th with a time of 70 mins 31 secs for the 6.17km course with 80m climb and 13 controls.

Farmleigh - and promoting orienteering
For years, we have been trying to promote orienteering, though initiatives like National O-Day and Come-and-Try-It events.
Now, through the Family Fitness Festival, organised by Athletics Ireland, a means of promoting our sport has fallen into our laps.
