Orienteering is taking a summer break until the Tara Sprint in Co Meath on Sun Aug 13 (11-1.0).
This is followed by the Fingal Autumn Scatter Series, starting Sun Aug 23 at Santry (12.0); other dates - Newbridge Sun Aug 30, St Anne's Pk, Sun Sept 6; Malahide Sun Sept 13. Full list of fixtures www.orienteering.ie.
Good news is that the first permanent orienteering course in the Dublin area is now open. You can find it at Hellfire Woods; see www.coillteoutdoors.ie to download one of three courses set by Setanta members.
Our own map of Ticknock/Three Rock is next in line, with Carrickgolligan (GEN) also due soon.
